Jennifer Saunders on life at 50 (pictured here with her daughter, Freya):
You reach a point when you realise your capabilities. You go through life feeling you don't know quite as much as other people, then you get to a certain age and think, “Actually, I do! I probably know more.” So you start driving yourself to do stuff. I don't care so much what people think of me. I'm not so self-conscious, but I'm not so tolerant, either. You can rationalise: “I'm still here; I can't be that bad.” So, if I'm out of a job, I'm out of a job, and if not, keep going.
Plus, she's going to be on tour with Dawn French! (Thanks, Gene, for the link.)

So, are we seeing the Edinburgh or the Birmingham show?
Those ladies are looking very glamorous!
Oh, surely Edinburgh! I haven't been there since 1980, I think, which is far too long.
The hopeful thing is that they're considering a US tour. Fingers crossed!
do you have any further news on the possibility of an US Tour of French and Saunders? would be so great if they came over.
Afraid not -- there doesn't seem to be any sign of one happening.
not much available via iTunes, I enjoy Saunders interpretations as much as I did when I first 'landed' at Absolutely Fabulous nearly 25 years ago, mostly thru YouTube...was surprised not to see her as one of Ensler's Vagina Monologues 'speakers'.·*><((((ยบ>
