I made a quick jaunt to Pi-Con yesterday to join in a Broad Universe Rapid-fire Reading. The reading went well, but there weren't too many sales at the book party after despite the chili (thanks, Aradia!) and the trifle (Kaynak, did you make that?). Nonetheless it was fun to see folks again and the reading went well. Morven took pictures, so when she gets them up, I'll post a link.In the parking near the dumpster was this semi-circle of chairs. There were some papers on the seats, but I didn't go up and look at them. I suppose I preferred to imagine the reasons they were arranged thus.
What's your guess?

People often leave usable stuff near dumpsters for the convenience of scroungers. The papers might well've said, please take these.
Amusing you dropped down to Pi-Con, in my one-time city of residence of Enfield, CT (the first US home of Lego, and once the home of Olympic Cards, which will trigger the memories of comic-book readers of the '70s and earlier...sell their cards by the box, earn a bike!)(not a scam I bought into).
I suspect the placement was not accidental. Surely if they were to be discarded, they'd be all in a jumble? Maybe I just want to read into the arrangement...
Well, I didn't want to be Too obvious, but who comes to Enfield without sitting out near the dumpsters? Would you go to Paris w/o partaking of the sidewalk cafes?
Ah, a venerable practice that was left out of my guidebook. Should have gone with Baedecker's of course, but I was pressed for time.
