Some good uns there, although I OD on 'Poke Her Face' at summer school two years ago. No one used Poly Gone! as a headline this week. Maybe it's for the best...

I've Fame Monster in my car forever and still am not tired of it. I hesitated a moment to thing "Which Gaga?" and that floated up. Addictive song.

I think I used "Poly Passed" on my BitchBuzz piece which still hasn't gone up so my editor may well change it. I hadn't planned to write anything as I took the month off, but I figured none of those youngsters would get it. Did you see Samira Ahmed's piece?

Lee Ving: "British punk's all right...if you like saxophones."

(Lee Ving didn't really say that...about British punk...at least as far as I know...it's a paraphrase of the title of Fear's song insulting NYC. This is your helpful informational bit for the day. I've put a similar stack of stuff up on my blog, for April's "Forgotten" Music. Women definitely get to be seen and heard, in that nostalgic stack of stuff keyed to the early '80s...you can, if you choose, find the only one band among them with no female members. It ain't The Ex, whom I was very happy to see were plugging along fairly recently....)
