London Photos

For those of you not on Facebook, you can see the first group o' pix from the trip. Tedious process uploading and labeling! I'd rather be having fun -- so, off I go.

I was a bit shocked to hear that underground filmmaker Joe Christ died suddenly this week. I had my disagreements with him, especially after 9/11, but I am very sorry to hear it and my heart goes out to his family and friends.

Wow...Joe Christ died? Thanks for passing this on. I didn't know.

We have several of his old films and used to talk with him once in a while...but that was before 9/11 and his opinions got too extreme for us.

Never-the-less, sorry to hear about it. Especially since he was only, what?...53? Yikes! The same age as my hubby!

Alan, Joe's son, has posted that he died of a heart attack in his sleep. Not surprisingly considering the life he has led. OTOH. I imagine that somewhere wherever he is, Joe is very disappointed.

I firmly believe that to know Joe was to argue/disagree with Joe and he loved it. *laugh*

(Peter?) Hamilton could be a cousin if not a brother. Even if he in now way resembles your brother.

I should mention that while I referred to them as Hamilton and Hind (due to comedic convention), in the photo they are in the order L-R Hind and Hamilton, which would be John (writer for the Guardian, etc. and author of the Comic Inquisition) and Paul (not Peter, co-editor of How Very Interesting, the very finest book on Peter Cook in existence, writer for the Idler, drummer for Reticents) so now I'm not sure which you're designating with "brother" status...

Roger got brother status because the first time we met at a conference in Leuven, he stared oddly at me then explained he was doing so in surprise because I looked just like his sister. He was also rather surprised to find me a fan of Vic and Bob and to this day finds me to be peculiar in my tastes, so still rather sibling-like I suppose.

The blond one, whom I shall forego referring to as the golden Hind.

HA HA HA. I will have to pass that along when I can.
