Time

I woke up with this song in my head. Tick, tick, tick; is it already the middle of June? Must find a way to stay here...

Weekend fun with the Brookses: Sophie and I played footie in the back garden because the air is full of World Cup fever here. Yes, we even watched the England-US match (very poor!); well, Liz and I drank some wine and giggled a lot while Brad watched it. Fun!

Was the play very poor? Too bad, but at least you got some boot in yourselves. My interest in watching team sports is certainly heightened by the athletes being women, particularly indoor/real volleyball (the beach volleyball plaers tend to the anorectic and sunburnt(), but playing is generally more fun than watching, as with so much of life, you are correct (Shakespeare more fun to watch in competent hands hadnling competently, but even or particularly the likes of Derek Jacobi can falter disastrously, as in his BBC/PBS OTHELLO in the late '70s.)("Heaven TRUly knows that thou art FALSE as HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL"--the last delivered as ullulation with a fair amount of saliva sprayed...Sean Penn was taking notes avidly, Anthony Hopkins already knew he could be that honeybaked.)

Must dash for Cymbeline, but will check out the links later. If you saw the sole USian goal, you would groan as well. Yes, there are some rather attractive looking players, but usually the glow departs once they open their mouths.

Depends on the player, dearie...rather as with Daerk Jacobi's eye-popping out of the his burnt-cork makeup.

(I'm just smug that as namesake of the Deathly Fox, I have as much claim to the tea as Ol' Rup', my old great grandboss...as long as I can esca

Bad laugh of the morning...Amazon hopes to sell me such Comedy Albums as the soundtracks to GLEE and SEX AND THE CITY 2...

Out of the blackish-rimmed sockets of his burtt-cork, that is. Coherence not strong today!

I like the overlap between footie players and dramatic players that has led this discussion awry. Coherence is conditional and not always required.

Is Nina Simone really "Doctor"? I had no idea. Ah, I see, indeed. Huh!

Todd Mason said...

Yes, rather like Dr. Stephen Colbert and Dr. Bill Cosby.

And some "confusions" are intentional, indeed...such as the confusion of every jock for a moron (hell, some of our best friends)...

Well, I would take honorary degrees should they be offered. Not that I need 'em, but hey -- gifts are pleasant to receive.
