I purchased a new lap harp over the winter break. Her name is Ceili and she looks like this:
She has 22 strings and lovely handcrafting by Dwayne Glanton, including this lovely pyrography of flowers:
It's a bit different from playing the kanteles (a whole different plain of action -- vertical rather than horizontal) so it's a bit of an adjustment. I am learning through Sylvia Woods' Teach Yourself to Play Folk Harp. She has a beautiful sound (which I really ought to record).
